I had to give Dan's buddy in Georgia, Mike Blinsk, a call to answer this one.
What additional requirements are there to be licensed as an armed security guard in Connecticut?
Assuming you have taken the requisite class to become a licensed unarmed security guard in the State of Connecticut, your next step is to obtain a "carry permit" for a pistol, again for the State of Connecticut. Not much point in getting a carry permit for a different State if you are going to be living and working in Connecticut.
And the final piece of the puzzle you will need is to apply for a working carry permit which lets you actually carry your weapon on the job.
You should definitely check out the Connecticut armed security guard section for a complete rundown of all the requirements.
